About the Compliance Message
If you have started testing out VoxDirect’s Text Marketing tools, you’ll notice that an automatic text message gets sent. It looks like this:
Phone companies mandate that this message must be sent anytime a business is using mass texting or automated texting. It is sort of like how emails from businesses have an “unsubscribe” link. This is the text messaging equivalent.
When does it get sent?
The compliance message only gets sent once for each contact.
To Subscribers Added via Keyword:
When a contact joins a Subscriber List by texting a keyword, they will get the compliance message right away. If there is an automatic text message that gets sent after the contact subscribes, they will get the automatic text first, followed by the compliance message.
To Subscribers Added Manually:
When a contact is added to a Subscriber List manually, they will not get the compliance message until after the first Text Marketing message is sent. So if you choose not to send an initial text after adding them to the Subscriber List, they will not receive the compliance message until the next time you send a Blast Text to your Subscriber List. If you do choose to send an initial text to your new subscribers, they will receive the initial text first, followed by the compliance message.
Can I change the Compliance Message?
You can’t change the compliance message. If you want to add a personal touch, we recommend sending an automatic text message to new subscribers. This way, they will receive the automatic text first, followed by the compliance message.
